TAMAM: School-Based Improvement Approach

At Al Maymouna Tanmiyah, we believe that meaningful educational change starts with the teacher. That's why we proudly support the TAMAM Project, an initiative led by the American University of Beirut that focuses on school-based improvement through teacher empowerment.

What is the TAMAM Project?

The TAMAM (Towards a Methodology for Arab Modernization) Project equips schools to lead their own improvement efforts from within. It focuses on:

  • ✔️ Developing teacher leadership
  • ✔️ Fostering school-wide collaboration
  • ✔️ Implementing data-driven strategies
  • ✔️ Creating sustainable change

This approach gives schools and teachers the autonomy to identify challenges and develop solutions tailored to their unique environment.

Our Involvement

Al Maymouna Tanmiyah works hand in hand with TAMAM to support:

  • 👩‍🏫 Teacher training and professional development
  • 🏫 School leadership workshops
  • 📊 Tools for reflection, innovation, and assessment

Our involvement ensures that the transformation goes beyond curriculum and infrastructure — it reaches the core of education: the people.

Why It Matters

By enhancing teaching practices and nurturing a culture of continuous learning, TAMAM creates real impact in classrooms. The results:

  • ✅ Improved student outcomes
  • ✅ Higher teacher motivation
  • ✅ Stronger school communities

This initiative complements our direct school support programs, forming a holistic strategy for educational advancement in Lebanon.
